My short screenplay “Parental Guidance” has made it to the shortlist for the Hartbeat (a Kevin Hart Company) Women Write Now comedic screenplay fellowship for Black women. Out of hundreds of submissions, only ten make it to the shortlist. Yay!

Developed in partnership with Sundance Institute, the fellowship supports three writers in developing short comedic scripts under the guidance of some of the most influential Black women in comedy. The resulting scripts are produced by Hartbeat, premiere at a special screening during the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, and are distributed across Hartbeat's LOL Network.

Each of the selected fellows receive a one year first-look deal with Hartbeat. The three winning fellows are announced July 18. Wish me luck!
